Brian Szymanik, AIA, LEED AP (BD+C)


A graduate of the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania (Post-Professional Master of Architecture) and the Tyler School of Art at Temple University (Bachelor of Architecture, Professional Degree), Brian Szymanik co-founded our studio with David Quadrini in 2013.

Brian has successfully designed projects at both small and large scales, from mid-rise apartment buildings to higher education athletic facilities to small urban residential renovations and additions. In all of his work, Brian seeks to exploit his broad experience and his innovative spirit to offer exceptional solutions to meet his clients’ needs while exceeding their expectations.

Brian’s work has been published in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Philadelphia Architect, The Philadelphia City Paper, The Philadelphia Business Journal, CONTEXT: The Journal of AIA Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Tribune, Grid Magazine, and on

Brian is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Temple University's Tyler School of Art teaching graduate and undergraduate architectural design studios.  He has also served as the Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice at Marywood University's School of Architecture and as an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University's College of Architecture and the Built Environment. 

A registered architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia, Brian is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialization in Building Design and Construction.   He has previously served on the Board of Directors of the American Institute of Architect's Philadelphia Chapter and was awarded that organization's Young Architect Award in 2013.
